Birth and Early Childhood
Peter Cetera was born on September 13, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois.
He spent his early childhood in the Windy City, where he began to develop his musical talents at a young age.
Early Musical Influences
At age 11, Cetera started learning the accordion. By 15, he was performing with a student band.
During high school, he became proficient on the bass guitar. Simultaneously, he also took up the saxophone, drums, and vocals, demonstrating his versatile musical abilities.
Joining Chicago
In 1967, Cetera joined the band "Impressions." He was later impressed by "The Big Thing" and decided to become a member.
The band subsequently changed their name to "Chicago Transit Authority" and eventually "Chicago." Cetera became a core member of
