Early Life and Career
Judy Blundell, known professionally as Jude Watson, was raised in Stony Brook, Long Island, New York.
Her father worked as an executive director at the Long Island Museum of American Art, History & Carriages, while her mother pursued a career in nursing. Watson's passion for writing emerged early on, and she began composing stories from a young age.
Star Wars Legacy
Watson's literary breakthrough came in the late 1990s when she was commissioned by LucasBooks to write the "Star Wars Journal: Captive to Evil" novel.
The book, which narrated the events of "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" from Princess Leia Organa's perspective, became a critical success. This collaboration with LucasBooks marked the beginning of Watson's long-standing asso
